Dr. Ma Jun is President of the Institute of Finance and Sustainability, Chairman of the Green Finance Committee of the China Society for Finance & Banking, and Chairman of the Hong Kong Green Finance Association. He also chairs the Capacity-building Alliance of Sustainable Investment (CASI) and co-chairs the IPSF Sustainable Finance Taxonomy Working Group. He previously co-chaired the G20 Sustainable Finance Working Group, sat on the Steering Committee of the Central Banks and Supervisors' Network on Greening the Financial System (NGFS), and served as Chief Economist of the People's Bank of China (PBOC). Earlier, he was Managing Director and Chief Economist for Greater China at Deutsche Bank, Senior Economist at the World Bank, and Economist at the IMF. He led the drafting of China's first green finance guidelines and green bond standard, and played a key role in building global consensus on scaling up green and transition finance under the G20 framework.
Dr. Ma Jun holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Georgetown University and a Master's degree in Management Science from Fudan University.
