Marcelo Furtado currently serves as the Head of Sustainability at Itaúsa and Executive Director at Itaúsa Institute in Brazil. He is also a Senior Adviser at NatureFinance and a board member at Conectas Human Rights and the Sovereignty and Climate Center. He co-founded the Brazilian Coalition on Climate, Forest and Agriculture and is a member of the Sustainability Committees of Dexco and MBRF. Previously, he was Executive Director of Greenpeace Brazil, where he worked for 24 years, before becoming CEO of the Arapyaú Institute and the Alana Foundation.
