Thank you to the Hoffmann Centre for Global Sustainability - Geneva Graduate Institute for hosting a powerful discussion exploring “The Rise of the Adaptation Economy - From Financing Gap to Investment Arena.”
Together with André Hoffmann and Beatrice Weder Di Mauro, Simon Zadek and Jennifer Blanke explored how our policy framework can help shift adaptation from a niche financing challenge to a whole-economy investment arena. They discussed how this can create markets that reward adaptation solution businesses, mobilise private capital, and scale inclusive solutions.
We were especially encouraged by the level of engagement in the room and the shared urgency to move from concepts to concrete market design, implementation, and impact. The feeling in the room was clear: demand for adaptation solutions is accelerating, and the markets to serve it need to be built now, not later.
We’re looking forward to continuing the conversation on the Adaptation Economy as we head towards Greenup Switzerland at Climate Hub Davos in January.
