Niall Murphy

Founder & Managing Partner

Niall Murphy is a Founder and Managing Partner of Morphosis, where he leads the firm's investment strategy and platform development. He brings three decades of operator experience founding, scaling and exiting technology businesses across southern Africa, Europe and the United States. He co-founded one of southern Africa's first ISPs, acquired by UUnet (1998); co-founded pan-European public WiFi network The Cloud, acquired by Sky (2010); and founded EVRYTHNG, a pioneer in digital product passports and traceability, acquired by Digimarc (2021). He has contributed to South Africa's post-apartheid ICT policy transition, co-authored WiFi security standards with IETF and IEEE, was a member of UK regulator OFCOM spectrum advisory board, and co-invented the GS1 Digital Link global standard. Recognised by the World Economic Forum as a Global Innovator, Niall holds a BSc in Computer Science & Mathematical Sciences.
